HORRORTRIP OF PAPERHOUSES / "OUR CRITIQUE OF THE EVERYDAY".

120 houses made of lp covers were installed in "the artist project" at the canadian national exhibition.

OUR CRITIQUE OF EVERyDAY / A HORRORTRIP OF PAPERHOUSES was an interactive installation and performance piece based on the ideas of Henri LeFebvre. Here, a subdivision of 120 paper houses were laid out on the floor and exhibited in the gallery. People were encouraged to submerge themselves within the installation and carefully choose a house to “trade” for an object they had on their person. Widely successful, the participants left with a house and a deed. The deed outlined information regarding the LP house and served as a contract between artist and patron. The traded objects were left on the ground in the place of the house in an articulated rectangle of chalk and were photographically documented to be included with the deeds in a book format.
